New Report: Vinyl Chloride: The Poison That Makes The Plastic
Beyond Plastics, Earthjustice, and Toxic-Free Future have just released "Vinyl Chloride: The Poison That Makes The Plastic | Considerations for EPA’s Evaluation of Vinyl Chloride Under the Toxic Substances Control Act." This report describes the ways in which vinyl chloride has harmed and continues to threaten frontline communities, workers, and consumers, and makes recommendations to the EPA to designate vinyl chloride as a high-priority chemical under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) process, the first step in a multi-year effort to get the EPA to restrict or ban vinyl chloride to protect public health.
